I'm a huge fan of electronic music from dubstep to deep house and, since freshers weeks are in full swing and Kiana's off to hers at Birmingham and mine starts next week. I thought it would be apt to show you my top 10 tracks in my current prink playlist. To get you in the mood to go out.I usually just put my phone on my docking station in the kitchen and load up soundcloud.
1. Blame by Calvin Harris and John Newman.
John Newman's vocals make this track for me, with Calvins classic drop after each verse and the deeper drop during the chorus just makes me want to get up and shake what my mama gave me.
2. Commander by David Guetta and Kelly Rolands
After playing this at a few prinks/ partys it's a pretty fool-proof classic dance track. Everyone knows it a feel good tune.
3. Ten Feet Tall by Afrojack and Wrabel
A good one to calm things down, another feel good song with motivational lyrics. With a soft climax and drop. Good song to keep you going through the night if your one-night stand didn't call or inbox you back or a looming assignment deadline.
4. Lights & Thunder by Gareth Emery and Krewella
If you're not familiar with these artists then no biggy, but this track is great to get you in the mood to drink through any feeling. The drop in this song is really good and a classic club sound. But of course with it being Gareth Emery and Krewella they put their own spin on what could be a slightly generic and recognisable beat.
5. Animals by Martin Garrix
Although he has done other tracks the amazingly talented 18 year old DJ produced this recognisble track that nearly everyone knows. Generally a crowd pleaser.
6. Wasted by Tiesto and Matthew Korma
Because who dosen't like someone better when they're wasted?
7. Flashlight by DJ Fresh and Ellie Goulding
Catchy lyrics and stunning vocals from Ellie. After seeing this live from DJ Fresh I can defnitley say it will get you in the mood to go out and see those flashing strobe lights!
8. Stay the night by Zedd and Hayley Williams
Track featuring Paramore's lead singer, with lyrics to remind you that uni is for fun and one night stands will probably occur. But this song reminds us that it's okay to make these mistakes and is no big deal, after all who dosen't wear their beer goggles and neck someone you think is a 10 at the time and ends up to be a 2.
9. Alesso vs One Republic If I Loose Myself
Alesso, former Swedish house mafia's dj Sebastian Ingrosso's protege made his name known with this remix. One Republic thought the track was that good they put it on their Natives album. If it's good enough for them it's good enough for drunken me.
10. #SELFIE by The Chainsmokers
With annoying lyrics that are applicable to all the classic characters you find in a club. With a playful spin on the #selfie craze that has taken the world of social media by storm. Good beat funny lyrics almost a parody in a song. It'll remind you to take the soberish selfies where you don't look like a sweaty mess.
