So I was very naughty last month, online shopping has been
the death of me (more importantly my bank account). As you may know The Body
Shop is a brand which caters for all aspects surrounding skin, this includes
beneficial products that contain natural ingredients sourced from all around
the globe. The distinctive brand name echoes luxury but can be considered quite
pricey, this is why I would only usually purchase products when that sale is on
gurl! As I have the app on my IPhone I can easily keep updated and purchase things
whilst being on the move, this has proved to be the case in this instance. So
without further ado let’s get on with the review…
This
product combined with the shower gel is just immense, together they make you
feel like one big almond (if only haha). I literally have five of these bad
boys (check the picture if you don’t believe me), I feel somewhat like a
hoarder but this just proves how amazing this product is. I first purchased the
Coconut body butter around 2 years ago and since have purchased the Moroccan
Rose, Brazil nut and now obviously the Almond edition. This has proved to be my
favourite as it gives off a fresh scent which I have received a lot of compliments
about, and also has a lightweight consistency. The smell is exactly the same as
the shower gel and is something I will never get bored of. The only con I would
mention about the product is the price as it is £13.00(200ml), however I would definitely
recommend getting these when they have a promotion on, as I managed to get mine
for £3(absolute bargain, if I do say so myself).
I think
I should confess, I am Almond obsessed! Again this product does exactly what it
says on the tin (Ronseal), it moisturises your hands and conditions nails
whilst giving off a phenomenal scent. This product is a must for me, as I do
suffer from eczema and so always need to keep my hands hydrated. A little goes
a long way with this product and it isn’t heavily fragranced which prevents my
skin from flaring. It is quite small and
therefore handbag size which is great for me and my Mary Poppins bag. Similar to
the body butter the only downside is the price, as it is £5.00 for 30ml but I have
noticed a significant difference about my skin and so I will continue to use
this, until a better alternative arises.
Finally
a non-Almond associated product! This mist is carried with me at all times, you
never know when I mist moment could arise. As I do use public transport the
atmosphere isn’t always that perfume-friendly, and I also go to the gym, so
this product is definitely convenient in these situations. Just one spritz of
this is enough as it is highly fragranced, meaning the product won’t be used up
too fast. The packaging is yet again simple but quite elegant as it features
quite neutral colours. Every time I do spray this I am fondly reminded of the
Rubicon advert (she like da mango, o-o-o she like da mango! How very sad haha).
As with some of the other products the price is the only let-down as it is
£7.50 for 100ml(I got mine for £4.00 in the sale), but I suppose you only get
what you pay for.
If you’ve made it this far, praise the LAWD! As you’ve probably
realised there’s a slight trend within this review, 3 out of the 4 products are
of the Almond family (favouritism much..). I can’t recommend these products enough,
I acknowledge that the price may prove quite expensive for some, however the
overall quality of each product proves its worth, without forgetting they are
free from animal testing! I hope you have enjoyed this mini review, of some of
my personal favourites from The Body Shop collection, I would love to hear any
other product recommendations as I passionately love this brand.
Many thanks for reading,
Kiana
