My 1st Valentine's Day

My valentines weekend.
For all those who hate Valentine's Day look away now. Even though it's a capitalist "holiday" that's made to make us spend our hard earned student loans and work money back to the greedy buggers at the top.

Here's what I did for my first ever valentines with my boyfriend. Who's worth it all.

I went home on Friday and spent the night there having take away and drinks with my parents. Woke up on Saturday morning to heart shaped balloons with pictures attached to them of us with little captions saying "I love your eyes". Kind of thing. Very sweet and very sickening at the same time very cute!

We then traveled to Manchester Oxford road on Valentine's day the train and stayed at Novotel for two nights. Romantically went to Maccies for tea because we couldn't get into any restaurants were all full. Then to a Chinese bakery (the hotel is just across from China town) for some cake. Two naps later and we're ready to go and see Gareth Emery at the Albert Hall. Having found out I'd paid £60 to meet him when I could've paid £20 because the meet and greet was cancelled and a 6 hour set changed to 4. Disappointing but still made the most of it raving my little head off at the barrier. Roxanne Emery (my fave) came and joined us, raving next to us. I managed to get a hug and a picture with her! And touched Gareth's hand again (when we saw him at cream). We got 5 free drinks so 5 mini bottles of rose wine later = one tipsy Bekka. We got in Gareth's selfie this time.

Wake up the next day deaf and ears ringing we went to TOPS world buffet for dinner / tea. Yumm. Went for a drink in Bierkeller in the Printworks and to the Odeon to watch 50 shades of porn. (It's not as explicit as everyone makes it out to be). Which will be reviewed next week! We went to the hotel gym and sauna and steam room which was lush .

As I write this in Wetherspoons whilst waiting for our train back to Liverpool I realise how lucky I am and how spoilt I've been. I love you Mat, my L1.

Hope you had a good Valentine's Day whether getting drunk with girlfriends, crying into your Ben and Jerrys whilst watching Bridget Jones, or having a good time with your better half.

Thanks for reading,
Bekka.
