Awkward Introductions
So this feels a little bit like going to a pre-drinks or flat party for the first time, and meeting a whole new group of people. Here's our awkward introduction, this blog will be and is being written by two different authors. Who are best friends and have been for a few years now. So here is our awkward introduction to you. No we weren't drunk writing this (unfortunately no alcohol was consumed within the writing of this blog post).
Kiana:
I am a 19 year old ambitious Criminology student to be, (hopefully) who obviously enjoys reading the most disturbing stories as a hobby. I am currently sporting a ginger afro which has proved to be very controversial, turning heads for all the wrong reasons. My routine activities include excessive workouts at the gym, whilst also being a full time food junkie, at the moment and throughout my exams, online shopping has been my saviour. I consider myself to deviate from the traditional female stereotype, as I possess somewhat masculine qualities, which is not only shown through my toned physique, (I wish) but it includes me watching the game, (football, preferably Man City), engaging in frequent cursing and a loyal passion for trainers. However, I do embrace my inner woman (occasionally) as I enjoy watching
YouTube videos, especially lookbooks and vlogs, as I find individual style diverse and inspiring. So looks like I'm not just a regular girl then…
Bekka:
I'm an 18 year old awkward, dysfunctional dyslexic, to say the least, who gets homesick often. I'm currently at university in Liverpool studying Drama & theatre studies and English Literature. Who'll be starting her second year come October (and seeing if I can hack my second freshers week). I love reading, I'm normally found with my head in a book, or in the classics or plays section of the library. I'm the definition of a nerd / bookworm and have played MMORPGs for a few years; as well as watching anime. Currently rocking the generic dip dye hair, and "hipster glasses" (you can roll your eyes now). Tattooed girl that loves cooking meals from scratch and will drink whatever's cheapest. Usually rose wine resulting in drunken texts, regrettable grinding and tragic tales to retell. Sharing a mutual interest in makeup and fashion vlogs/blogs.
U 'n' i bound basically means two things, we're both going to university for the first time or returning in September. It also has a rather cheesy meaning, we're both bound as best friends so it's you and I bound to each other through our friendship and now this blog.
As you can see we both have similarities and differences such as fashion style, music, reading and food which we think gives our blog posts a unique twist. We plan to write about our experiences over the summer and dealing with college and getting to uni. The freshers do's and don'ts, how to pre-drink, recipes, makeup looks, how to tackle your rather daunting reading lists, and how to manage the workloads with going home and going out, updates on our uni lives in two different cities; and universities from a first year view and 2nd year studying two different subjects.
We'll also touch on our journey to university such as applying for student finance, ucas and doing A-levels.
We hope you stick around to read about our drunken and sober university adventures.
Thanks,
Kiana & Bekka.
