(Me on the right with the yellow wellies)
Day 1: Was daunting I didn't know what to wear or take so I took what my friends told me to take my emergency poncho, pocket parka, glasses (cause I'm blind), spare pair of socks, medication, water, extra batteries, my camera and crappy old phone. We arrived at the queue at 10AM when gates opened at 12:30. We waited for two hours and in the queue I met some girls from Preston, keeping the northerness very much alive. The anticipation built and we were so scared and excited as neither of us had been to a festival before. We were at the front of the queue and one of the first ones in so we got food and decided to go and see B.O.B at the main stage we were stood at the front of the barrier near the amps and managed to get a really good view being at the front. He played the crowd pleasers like Airplanes and price tag. This day was pretty chilled and we just wandered around watching a few acts. With Drake the headliner cancelling we were given £20 in vouchers to spend inside the venue. I spent mine on a T-shirt and bought a lanyard with the times of performances on which made life so much easier for us. We stayed for half an hour of Rudimental's set and then left early to beat the rush. We were in the front middle for Labrinth's set he surprised me with a truly great set that got the crowd going only disappointment was him throwing the guitar at the end. Poor guitar! It began raining during Labrinth so the emergency ponchos came out and were used. Even Wiz Khalifa surprised me with his set and gave a little inspirational speech. Wake up bake up man! My let down of this day was of course Drake cancelling and probably Azealia banks being the diva she is. Also a group of guys asked us when Snoop dog was playing I said wrong festival line up mate. They then asked when Drake was on, I was like you serious?!
(Us watching Raleigh Ritchie right at the front. With the pink flowers, red lippie and glasses.)
Day 2: Queuing at the same time again 10AM, we were at the front of the queue and beside us where some lads from Bolton once again queuing with northerners'. We got straight into the venue got food for our dinner and made camp at the Brumbrum stage being the first in the tent we had first pick of our place to be, and chose in the middle where the microphone was located. Once again we were in the front row for Raleigh Ritchie I didn't know who he was until he played Stronger Than Ever. When I screamed to Pip "OMG I've heard his stuff on Radio 1Xtra whilst I've been at work!" His set was amazing and his vocals were on point. How he managed to bounce around the stage like he did and sing at the same time blew my mind. Neon jungle then followed who were equally stunning vocally the harmonies gave me goose bumps especially when singing Louder. They gave us a sneak peak of some of the stuff to come on their album which is available for pre-order now. Finally we watched A Great Big World which again we were front row for, when they sang Say Something I may have cried a little. We went for food and decided to go to the main stage and see if we could get back to where we were for B.O.B the day before, for Ellie Goulding someone we could not wait to see. Thankfully we could and sneaked into the barrier we watched Ellie from the front row, who's vocals were out of this world; and Outkast Andre was loving our side kept looking at us whilst he stood on top of the amps for 3/4 of their set. A lot of dancing and grinding occurred during their set. Then came the big one. Bruno Mars (my bae). Bruno being the headliner gave a stunning performance and his vocals were insane doing covers of some current chart toppers. His band and their dancing moves were breath taking and sexy. Bruno is a true star and entertainer. I was gutted when he didn't do Locked out of Heaven, but he came back on and did it as his encore. When he sang Just the Way you are, he worked the stage and sang it to us all. Being at the front near the amps again, he stood on top of the amps and sang part of the chorus in our direction. I was so close to him I was overwhelmed and cried a little. Afterwards when going through the pictures, all I keep saying is no zoom no zoom! People can't believe how close to him we were lucky enough to be. It was sunny all day thankfully. Turning around and seeing all the people's faces and arms waving and thinking I'm at the front of this and being in awe as you're at the front of it all was insane.

Day 3: The last day we did the same thing and arrived at 10AM and were at the front of the queue once again only we made our camp at the front stage at the same spot as usual in front of the amps. (which after 3 days makes your ears ring.) We watched Jon Bellion and Vic Mensa who we didn't really know that well but had fairly good sets. Vic brought on a blow up doll at one stage and danced with it which had us in stitches. We were then very excited for Foxes her vocals like Ellie's were haunting and sounded so much better live than on record. I realised how badly I needed to have her album Glorious in my life. After Foxes came the queen Iggy Azalea, her intros to her songs were hilarious and very witty. Her dancers were immense as was the new classic herself. Her wrapping and dancing was on point. A real show woman who knew how to hold and involve the crowd. She worked the stage and spent equal amounts of time on all sides, she came and stood right next to the amps and wrapped to work with us. My favourite part of her set was her pointing the microphone to the crowd for the "Valley girls giving blowjobs for Louboutin's, What you call that head over heels?". I said to my friend it would make my life when I heard her say those words after me telling her about this she knew one line to the whole of Iggy's set. Even thought she didn't know her songs she still enjoyed it thoroughly. Straight after Iggy we ran to the Future stage to see Tori Kelly both of us being huge fans and missing out on her previous tour and her not being a huge star, we knew this may be our only chance for a long time to see her live. We again managed to get to the front row for her set in the middle and her vocals were out of this world I just wish her set could've been longer. We finished by sitting down and watching Pharrell's set dancing to Happy and a little bit of Kanye West. Neither of us are a big fan of Kanye and when he did his 20 min speech half way through Click we thought it was time to go.

Over all, it was an amazing weekend and we were so lucky to spend the majority of it seeing the artists we wanted to right at the front! I would recommend wireless as a festival such an amazing experience and got to see some artists who's tours have sold out before I've even heard about tickets. My highlights were seeing Tori Kelly, Burno Mars singing just the way you are to us, Iggy Azelea's set and Ellie Goulding. So worth the money.
Wireless weekend was probably one of the best weekends ever, I got my results on Thursday for my first year of uni finishing with four 1st's and two 2:1's. Seeing my favorite artists with one of my best friends, experiencing something new and to top it all off the guy I was "dating" asking me out on Monday. Pretty damn good weekend. But, I'm back to work now which is not fun and I'm very tired.
If you're umming and ahhing about going to Wireless or any festival this year or next year. Do it! You won't regret it I promise.
